The 2008 Spring Conference was the First Annual Advertising and Circulation Joint Conference of the New York State Circulation Management Association and The New York Newspaper Advertising and Marketing Executives. This event will take place from June 1 - 4 at The Gideon Putnam Resort and Spa in Saratoga Springs, NY. Although many of the meetings and workshops were specific to one or the other organization, there were many opportunities for cooperative training and interaction. Advertising departments and circulation departments are both sales departments with similar needs and similar challenges. These departments work closely together at many newspapers and this opportunity to strengthen that working relationship can only be a benefit to the newspaper industry and the individual members of NYNAME and NYSCMA. This was an excellent opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with advertising, marketing executives, and circulation managers from all over New York State.
