The Daily Star, a six-day morning newspaper, seeks a motivated, ambitious leader. The ideal candidate will be someone who will know how to meld the best of the print world with the opportunities of the online world.
Our product portfolio consists of the daily newspaper, an award winning magazine anda weekly newspaper in Cooperstown, NY– home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
We are looking for a minimum of five years' worth of circulation experience, coupled with solid second-level or higher management experience. Knowledge of the new ABC rules is a must. College degree preferred but not required. Must be reasonably adept with Excel and MS Word.
We're seeking a leader of people, one who will set expectations and manage performance of the staff, as well as a demonstrated ability to hire and train quality people. In addition, a strong marketing background is necessary, with the ability to design, implement, evaluate and measure performance.

Oneonta, New York is located in the beautiful mountains of Upstate New York, between Albany and Binghamton. Located over three hours north of Manhattan, the region offers an outdoorsman’s paradise with an excellent educational system.
